YYYWelcome to mypageYYY

I was born on March 23rd, 2002 at 12:27pm at the Universtiy of Washington Medical Center. I was 6lbs 0.8ounces and 18 1/8inches long. I was born 3 1/2weeks early but was pretty healthy at birth. My apgars were 7/8. I was diagnosed with Turner Syndrome in utero at 20 weeks gestation (details below). I was also recently diagnosed  with Autism which u can find out more about by clicking on the autism link in the main menu.

I just turned 2 march 2004. I have turner syndrome which is a chromosomal condition and Autism (find out more by clicking to the left). Turner syndrome affects all individuals with the condition differently. I personally have Coarctation of the aorta and a bicuspid aortic valve with mild stenosis. I also have a multicystic kidney that doesnt function. I was born with congenital hip dysplasia (pictured below) I also have SID (sensory integration dysfunction) I am in occupational and speech therapy at school. I have some attention deficit problems also Turners syndrome occurs in 1 in 2500 live births and only occurs in females. Turners in general affects heart, kidney, lymph, system, skeletal, ears, eyes, height, fertility, sometimes it affects colon health and other things but those are the most common. If you want to learn more about TS you can click on the link on the favorite links portion of my site. Or you can email me and my mommy from the contact portion of my site.

Alana Maria I love you with all my heart. It has been 2 years since you entered the world and I seen your beautiful face. I was scared and excited at the same time. I was scared because I didnt know what to expect what I had in store for you but I knew I would love you anyways. But you were perfect to me inside and out just how I had imagined. I didnt know much then about how to care for a baby with Turners but I found a group that is a godsend to me they are my sanity and my shoulder to lean on. The group is the TSparents group. We have become close with a few of them. Some of them are angels that watch over you and make sure you are safe and have a nice life without fear. The angels are Lexi, Kaleigh, & Brooklyn. I wish we had all the time in the world to spend together every day, every hour, every minute, every second of the rest of our lives. Again Alana I love you and wish you the best life ever and sissy and daddy do too. I also wish you the best 2004! My little girl is getting bigger way to fast I wish you would slow down a bit! Ever day you learn something new and it amazes me things that you overcome that other mothers might take for granted and I am soo happy that I get that so proud feeling! Alana you have alot of people that care about you and pray for you Id just like to thank everyone!!!!!
Love your mommy

Some of My Favorite People
Well first of all I love my mommy and daddy and baby sissy Kaila the most. I love my grandma's and grandpa's and of course my uncle James and aunt Shannon. I love cousins Bryttanie and Kaitlynn too! Cant forget I love all my friends and family:).

My personal triumph

When I was born I had Hip Dysplasia, It is common in girls with Turner syndrome and just girls in general especially those that were breech. I wore a harness for 2 1/2months, 1 1/2 of that was 24hrs a day and the other month was only at night time. The brace is is called a pavlik Harness or pavlik brace, its all cloth and just holds your legs in the place they need to be so they can stay in the socket. Sometimes the brace alone wont fix the problem and surgery is needed and other types of casting but the brace fixed it for me and we are very HAPPY about that! I didnt like wearing it all that much but it made it so I can run around and play with the other kids now!
